Christina Rene Hendricks (born May 3, 1975) is an American actress best known for her starring role as Joan Holloway in the AMC series Mad Men, and as Saffron in Fox's short lived series Firefly.
Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee and raised in Twin Falls, Twin Falls County, Idaho from third through eighth grade. In 1989, her family moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where Hendricks appeared in several high school plays and local community theatre. She got her start acting in Junior Musical Playhouse productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Hendricks is a natural blonde; she has been dying her hair red since she was 10 years old.
As an actress, Hendricks has made her mark in a number of guest TV appearances. Her first television break came when she became a regular in the series Beggars & Choosers. Since then, she has starred in the series The Big Time and The Court, opposite Sally Field and Craig Bierko, as well as the law drama Kevin Hill. She has also had recurring roles in ER and Firefly. She guest-starred in episodes of Angel, Miss Match, Tru Calling, Presidio Med, Without a Trace, and Las Vegas. Hendricks also starred opposite Kip Pardue in South of Pico. Hendricks has appeared in three episodes of the NBC TV show Life in the recurring role of Olivia, detective Charlie Crews' soon-to-be stepmother and Ted Earley's love interest.
However, her best-known role is that of Joan Holloway on the Emmy- and Golden Globe- winning AMC series Mad Men. The show centers on the macho, booze-soaked world of advertising in New York City in the early 1960s. Hendricks' character is the curvaceous office manager of Sterling Cooper, providing dubious mentoring to a group of women who must deal with the come-ons and callousness of professional advertising executives. Mad Men premiered on July 19, 2007 and wrapped its second season in October 2008.
She is engaged to fellow actor Geoffrey Arend; a wedding date has not been set.

Imogen Mary Thomas (born 27 November 1982) is a bar hostess and former beauty queen from Llanelli, South Wales, although she was residing in London before her entry into the house.
She has a degree in Psychology and a degree in Health Studies from the University of Worcester and was crowned Miss Wales in 2003, beating future Big Brother 9 winner Rachel Rice who came third. Up to week 5, Imogen was not allowed to participate in nominations. In week 1 she was in the Big Brotherhood, and there were no nominations. In weeks 2 and 3, she was banned from nominating for discussing nominations. In week 4, only Susie was permitted to nominate, and in week 5, as punishment for yet again discussing nominations she was forced (along with 4 other rule breakers) to nominate one fellow rule breaker in front of the group. On Day 84 Imogen moved with fellow nominee Richard into the House Next Door where she remained until she was evicted on Day 86 with 62% of the public vote. During this time she wasn't at all pleased about the bitching that fellow housemates Grace, Lea and Nikki were doing about Aisleyne, despite formerly being close with Grace and Nikki. She also shared good relationships with Glyn, Mikey, Lisa, Sezer and Susie in the house, as well as Aisleyne who she became good friends with outside the house despite the pair initially seeming hostile to each other. Her relationships with Pete, Jayne and particularly Richard werent as good however, though she did seem to make up with Richard in their final week in the house when they were nominated together. A number of weeks after Imogen's entry into the house, a 7 minute home sex video appeared on the Internet showing her having sex with ex-boyfriend Leighton Brookfield. After Big Brother, Imogen discovered that this sex tape had been broadcast online, and she is now in talks with her lawyer. Since leaving the Big Brother house Imogen has secured a guest appearance on the Welsh language soap opera Pobol y Cwm, Imogen has denied rumours of a relationship with fellow housemate Sezer. She has appeared in numerous Welsh television and radio programmes since leaving the house. These programmes include Wedi 7 (a magazine style programme), 'Jonathan' (presented by the rugby star Jonathan Davies and others), 'Snog, Marry, Avoid?' (presented by the Atomic Kitten star Jenny Frost) and Uned 5 (a show aimed at teenagers). Imogen has also appeared in photo-shoots for Zoo magazine. In November 2006, Imogen was voted the Sexiest Woman in Wales. She beat-off competition from other Welsh Beauties including Catherine Zeta Jones and Charlotte Church. Imogen appears on the cover of the January, 2007 edition of Maxim magazine. She was also ranked No. 07 in COED Magazine Online's "50 Sexiest WAGs of World Football." In 2008, she was included in the list of Playboy Bunnies on Playboy's website, as well as appearing in the E4 horror series Dead Set in a cameo as herself. She is currently continuing her career as a model, as well as appearing in her own television programme on S4C named Salon Imogen. Imogen recently revealed that she has fallen in love with Swansea City Footballer Matthew Collins, the two are described as Swansea's Golden Couple.
